What is a Peripheral Pump?
A peripheral pump is a close-coupled centrifugal pump featuring an impeller with several radial vanes. As the impeller rotates inside the casing’s concentric channel, it transfers large amounts of energy to the liquid flowing between the vanes and the casing—resulting in high pressure buildup. Fluid moves from the inlet to the outlet as internal pressure increases.
