How an Oxygen-Acetylene Torch Works
The oxygen-acetylene torch operates by heating metal to a high temperature using a flame produced from a controlled mix of oxygen and acetylene gases. This intense heat enables both cutting and welding of metal components.
When welding, the material is heated to its melting point, allowing separate pieces to fuse together. In cutting, the metal is oxidized and blown away in molten form.
